Tsunami Relief Effort

The images of devastation continue to come in and the number of casualties, already mind-numbingly high, continues to rise. The Red Cross currently estimates 77,000 killed, and anticipates the number to top 100,000. At the moment, many of the survivors are screwed - no food, water or shelter, and their livelihoods have been taken away. Diseases from dead bodies, open sewage and contaminated food/water are a major concern for health officials.

Pamela Leavey at lightupthedarkness.org has put a lot of time and effort into compiling a list of agencies who are currently involved in the relief effort. Hopefully, they don't mind the list being shared:
